Danube SUP marathon 2016
All brave riders can look forward to the fifth year of the Danube SUP marathon on September 17th 2016. The whole event will start at 10:00 a.m. with a small exhibition on SUP in Karloveska bay. After exhibition the competition start at 11:00 a.m. by jumping to the Danube and set on the 23km long way to area of the Divoka Voda in Cunovo. We have also prepared a new track, which will not be just parallel with the Danube but racer will also turn right from the main flow of the Danube river to the Jarovecke Branch. They will cross the Checkpoint and continue to the Whitewater centre – Divoka voda. They can have refreshment there and let the SUP race’s audience and fans to support them.
However, each marathon participant will find his / her own way of amusement. Besides adventure ride down the Danube, delightful Hawaii food, cocktails and Beach Party with DJ´s till the day-break are waiting for everybody. Moreover, the participants can “charge up” their adrenaline level in a unique night surfing on a dummy wave. This all is included in the entry fee of EUR 15.00. The starting fee includes river surfing, food, beer or soft drink. The accommodation is available in the hotel, bungalows or camp. Each participant is entitled to the discount of 20% in accommodation.

If you don’t have a SUP, you can borrow it at the marathon. Their amount is limited; therefore, reserve it as soon as possible at: areal@divokavoda.sk.
Competition conditions:
Each participant must be a swimmer. The Danube SUP marathon 2016 is provided for and organized by The Divoka Voda area (DV). DV reserves the right to reject any competitor due to use of alcohol or drugs, failure to come to the registration and start of the competition in time or due to failure to meet any instructions of the organizer.
Presentation and registration of SUP competitors start at 8:00 a.m. in the Karloveské rameno at the parking near the restaurant LODENICA / N 48.145147, E 17.071475 /
Registration will be closed at 10:30 a.m.
DV will ensure transport of participants to the start from the Divoka Voda area. / N 48.145147, E 17.071475 / All cars unload SUPs in the Karloveské rameno, hand them over to the organizer and the car driver will go to Cunovo, Divoka Voda. Driver with the car must deliver the car to DV by 8:30 a.m. at the latest. DV cars leave at this time for the Karloveske distributary for registration. Each competitor is obliged to sign an indemnity letter regarding start at own risk; the organizer shall inform and warn the competitor of all risks at its signing. The competitor will receive information regarding signalization of needed help and the competition rules.

Your application will be confirmed automatically and the starting number will be assigned to you. The registration fee will be paid cash in the Karloveské rameno.
