Les Années Folles
classical
A recital of a phenomenal British violinist Daniel Rowland and Ukrainian pianist Natasha Kudritskaya is an inspiring musical return to Paris of the 1920s. The sonatas of 20th century classical masters (Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc, Antheil) are complemented by arrangements of George Gershwin’s “An American in Paris” by the legendary violin virtuoso Jascha Heifetz and compositions of Astor Piazzolla. Les années folles is a compelling mixture of chamber music, jazz inspirations and tango, that could arise only from the atmosphere of the city on the Seine. The concert is a part of the Konvergencie festival.
