The exhibition reflects a sensitive topic not only in terms of visual art – the controversial period of history in Slovakia. It also responds to one of the major lines of contemporary art in Slovakia, which is engaged art. Individual artworks were not custom made (except one adaptation), all of them have been displayed or published and are part of current artistic discourse. This only confirms the fact that contemporary art does not avoid this complex socio-political topic, but on the contrary it repeatedly reflects it in the spectrum of several generations of artists.
Side events and educational programs traditionally accompany the exhibition.
