From Fairytale to Fairytale

From Fairytale to Fairytale is the most famed ballet by Czech composer Oskar Nedbal. In 1923–1931, together with Achille Viscusi, Nedbal laid the foundations of Slovak ballet. The première of Nedbal’s fairytale in ballet dips into to the golden treasures of Slovak ballet history. From Fairytale to Fairytale, as choreographed by Achille Viscusi for the 1923/1924 season, was the first performance for children at the SND. The small piece that loses none of his currency and playfulness as years pass, is now being produced in a new artistic outfit based on the concept of a foremost Slovak choreographer Jozef Zajko.
