Once again, you will be able to enjoy the coronation atmosphere during the free guided tours. Anyone who likes exploring will appreciate a historic tour of one of the most beautiful towns in Slovakia.
On this occassion, the Bratislava Tourist Board organises a series of thematic sightseeing tours given in Slovak as well as English, German, Hungarian and Ukrainian. These tours let you learn interesting things about the capital’s history and reveal the best that Bratislava has to offer. The route will tour the most important sites associated with the ceremony of coronation of Hungarian rulers and their spouses. Die in Bratislava gekrönten komponierenden Habsburger
from Rybné Square to the Ľudovít Štúr Square
Musik war die wichtigste und am meisten geschätzte Kunstform am habsburgischen Hof. Deshalb war der Hof voll von talentierten Komponisten, Musikern und Sängern aus verschiedenen Teilen Europas. Die Aussicht auf einen prominenten Platz in der Hofmusikkapelle und in anderen adeligen Orchestern zog sie wie ein Magnet an. Selbst die Krönungen ungarischer Könige im Martinsdom wurden von der Hofmusikkapelle musikalisch hervorragend umrahmt. Die Mitglieder der Familie Habsburg selbst wurden von klein auf in Musik und Gesang ausgebildet.
Weniger bekannt ist jedoch, dass Mitglieder von drei Generationen der Habsburger auch als Komponisten bekannt waren. Ferdinand III. wurde in Sopron zum König von Ungarn gekrönt, nahm aber später an der Krönung seiner Frau Maria Anna in Bratislava teil. Ihr Sohn Leopold I., die Hauptfigur der diesjährigen Krönungstage, war mit über 230 Werken der vielleicht produktivste Komponist der Familie Habsburg. Auch Leopolds Söhne Joseph I. und Karl III. (der Vater von Maria Theresia) setzten die kompositorische Tradition ihrer Vorfahren fort.

I. Leopold hosszú uralkodása ebben az időszakban a félhold árnyékában zajlott. A törökök Közép-Európát fenyegették, amelyet Habsburg-ellenes felkelések is sújtottak. A törökök kiűzése után törvénybe iktatták a Habsburgok örökös jogát a magyar koronára. A II. A 17. század második fele az ellenreformáció, a járványok és a felkelések emlékét hagyta a városban. Ezek közül néhányat felidézünk a séta során.
