The two-day GLOBSEC 2020 Bratislava Forum that took place from 7 to 8 October 2020 provided a platform for a productive debate under the theme Let’s Heal The World Together.
When talking about congress destinations, walkability and easy access to key points of interest for meeting planners are huge advantages, especially in current social-distancing times. Event attendees value easy access between congress centres, hotels, restaurants and other infrastructure. Walking is underrated and should be encouraged more, as it is the most democratic and sustainable means of transport.
The volunteers from Sygic, and other technology companies have developed a mobile application, which aims to slow down the spread of the novel coronavirus. The technology uses GPS and Bluetooth sensors to determine if the user came into contact with an infected person in the last 14 days.
Slovakia has been one of the most successful European destinations in fighting against COVID-19. Measures were put in place early and in a country with 5,5 million inhabitants, the number of reported infections is still relatively low. Many were surprised by the numbers, but they aren’t a coincidence. After all, Bratislava is the hub of innovation and creativity.
