Café Europe: Europe After The War

„Café Europe: Europe After The War“ will be part of the accompanying program of the „One World“ festival. The event will take place on November 10 at 16:30 in Bratislava’s A4 and will also be streamed online.

Russian military aggression against Ukraine put the European Union in the spotlight again. Many countries look at it not only as an economic space that provides opportunities for a higher quality of life, but also as a geopolitical actor that can contribute to the security and protection of the sovereignty of smaller countries from aggressive powers and to the creation of space in which they can develop safely.

This year, representatives of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova submitted applications to the EU. What are their prospects? What can this type of expansion bring to people from these countries, and especially what is the role of Slovakia, which has relatively recent experience with transformation and accession to the EU?

Guests:

  • Katarína Mathernová, European Commission, director of the Support Group for Ukraine
  • Tomás Bokor, Slovak Aid
  • Zuzana Vatráľová, head of the IOM Office in Bratislava

It is moderated by Andrea Najvirtová, director of Man in danger.
