Daughters

The film „Daughters“ will be part of the main program of the „One World“ festival. It will be possible to watch it online from the comfort of your home. The stream will launch on November 11th at 12pm and will be available for the next 24 hours.

Daughters / Jenifer Malmqvist / Sweden, Denmark / 2022 / 88 min. – Sofia, Hedvig and Maja grew up together on the countryside in Southern Sweden with their mom Carolina – a radiant personality and a devoted mother. In 2010 Carolina took her own life. That day, Hedvig turned ten years old. Maja found Carolina first. Sofia only remembers that every one kept her from looking through the windows. Left behind were three girls – eight, ten and sixteen years old. Today, they are young adults. They have moved on with their lives, but all have struggled in their own ways to cope with their loss.
