In Jazz We Trust

The In Jazz We Trust series of events, led by saxophonist Nikolaj Nikitin, will present a unique lineup. Visitors can look forward to a compact ensemble that combines technical brilliance with natural musical communication and powerful emotional expression.

The band brings together prominent figures from the Slovak and international jazz scene, each of whom brings their own signature style to the collective sound. Nikolaj Nikitin excels on the saxophone with his energetic improvisation, rhythmic precision, and powerful expressive tension, which adds dynamism and contrast to the music. The harmonic pillar of the band is Ľuboš Šrámek, a pianist with extensive experience in international projects, who sensitively balances between supporting the soloists and his own inventive expression. Earl Joshua Frost-Izumi on double bass brings a solid groove, musical maturity, and a deep understanding of the jazz tradition, while his playing creates a stable foundation even during open improvisations. The rhythmic energy and pulse of the band is shaped by Jakub Turác, whose attention to detail, dynamics, and interaction make him an equal partner in the musical dialogue.
