Komorné koncerty a dialógy

An event full of art that combines the beauty of music with stimulating conversations. In the historic premises of the Old Lyceum, guests can enjoy concerts performed by leading chamber ensembles, accompanied by discussions with performers and experts. Visitors will be able to discover music not only as an artistic experience, but also as a story.

The dramaturgical concept of the event, which will take place on November 18, 2025, in the Great Evangelical Church as part of the Chamber Concerts and Dialogues project, is driven by the ambition to create a space for composers whose work appears sporadically or is completely absent from public music programs.
The concert will feature a variety of organ compositions by J.N. Batka Sr., E. von Dohnányi, F. Schmidt, Ľ. Rajter, and Š. Németh-Šamorínsky, artists who wrote the musical history of the city at different times and with varying intensity.
In a dialogue with Martin Bak, attention will be drawn to interesting historical contexts that were decisive for the creation of the presented compositions, to the specific links of some authors to the Great Church and its organ, to the personal connections of the individual protagonists, and, last but not least, to the uniqueness of the current interpretative rendition of the selected works.
