São Paulo is currently home to some of the world’s most creative experimental dance music. DJ K is one of the purveyors of the „bruxaria“ sound, a sinister, carnivalesque take on Brazilian funk that’s known for its peculiar high-pitched percussion, horror samples and wildly inventive vocals. His debut album Panico No Submundo for the Ugandan label Nyege Nyege is a psychedelic trip to the edge of consciousness.
