Shame

The relentless and energetic band Shame will bring their new album Cutthroat to Bratislava’s Nová Cvernovka on October 19, 2025. London trio Ebbb will perform as the opening act.

Still in their twenties, the five childhood friends – Charlie Steen, guitarists Sean Coyle-Smith and Eddie Green, bassist Josh Finerty, and drummer Charlie Forbes – have expanded shame’s sound with bold sonic ambition and the technical skill to back it up.

With a reputation built on legendary live shows and three critically acclaimed albums, shame approached Cutthroat as a reset — a new Ground Zero. “This is about who we are,” says Steen. “Our live shows aren’t performance art – they’re direct, confrontational, and raw. That’s always been the root of us. We live in crazy times. But it’s not about ‘Poor me.’ It’s about ‘Fuck you.’”

A vital force behind this fierce new direction was producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen). From their first meeting, his no-nonsense approach helped sharpen and distill the band’s vision.
