It will be possible to watch it online from the comfort of your home. The stream will launch on November 7th at 12pm and will be available for the next 24 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Intensive Life Unit \/ Ad\u00e9la Komrz\u00fd \/ Czech Republic 2021 \/ 75 min. \u2013 Doctors Ond\u0159ej and Kate\u0159ina look after their patients to the best of their ability, but they can\u2019t prevent their deaths. Nevertheless, the inevitability of the end isn\u2019t the hardest thing they have to face as heads of palliative care at Prague\u2019s General University Hospital. A pilot project has emerged at a time when countless options are available to prolong human life; death is a social taboo and everyone has to confront his own mortality. Aware that a classic profile of the hospital would fall short, Ad\u00e9la Komrz\u00fd submits a profoundly humanistic meditation on the ethics of palliative care. Betraying her special brand of empathy, she documents intimate conversations between doctors and their patients which demonstrate that, while there\u2019s no good or bad way to die, there\u2019s always a means to improve patient\u2019s quality of life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language:<\/strong> Czech<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topic:<\/strong> Slovakia and the Czech Republic for human rights<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The screening of this film is inclusive.
