The concept of these projects has long been linked by an effort to contribute to the discussion on the position of women artists in the wider Central European region, an ambition to address the connections between age, gender, and creativity, and, last but not least, an effort to highlight the late work of Slovak, Czech, German, and Austrian female artists of the post-war generations. These are generations of female artists who anticipated, shaped, and formed the conditions for the gradual professionalization and emancipation of female artistic creation and helped to integrate it into Czech-Slovak and Central European art history.

Artists:

Mária Balážová (SK), Lieselott Beschorner (AT), Gerda Fassel (AT), Milota Havránková (SK), Libuše Jarcovjáková (CZ), Karin Mack (AT), Adéla Matasová (CZ), Milada Othová (CZ), Emerita Pansowová (SK/DE), Margot Pilz (AT), Margita Titlová Ylovsky (CZ), Monika Verhoeven (AT), Heliane Wiesauer-Reiterer (AT), Jana Želibská (SK)

Organizer’s text: We cordially invite you to a unique guided tour of the international exhibition Grey Gold: Touch with art historian Ľuba Belohradská, which will focus specifically on the post-war sculptural work of the exhibiting artists.
