She will gather sounds from riversides, public spaces, and the city\u2019s edges \u2013 places where natural, social, and industrial environments overlap. These recordings will be reshaped into a new body of work built entirely from recorded sound, where rhythm, melody, and harmony emerge from the material itself. A crackle, a hum, or a distant call can become the foundation of a composition, treating the environment as a complete instrument.<\/p>\n<p>Another concert of the evening will a rare evening-length simultaneous performance of Jakob Ullmann\u2019s Solo I and Solo IV. In Ullmann\u2019s music, subtle gradations of sound and noise are located on the periphery of perception. His complex, palimpsest-like scores, played softly, encourage delicate and inward-looking performances which draw on subtlety and fragility. \u201cFor me, it is a central point in my work that the performer and the listener are both free to play and hear the music without backgrounds, environments, or other ideas outside of music [\u2026]\u201c (Jakob Ullmann)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Alongside this, she will lead a workshop focused on field recording as a creative practice. Participants will work with their own recordings, exploring techniques like granular synthesis and sound transformation, and finding new musical possibilities within everyday sound.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will take place on April 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at A4 \u2013 Space for Contemporary Culture.
