Perhaps you helped someone get through the toughest period of their life, or saved an animal, a school or a cultural institution. And perhaps you didn\u2019t even realise that it is precisely these small decisions that form the story of this platform and of a country united in solidarity.<\/p>\n<p>Donio was founded five years ago with the aim of making it easier to help others. Since then, it has been part of more than 6,000 stories, and over 325,000 donors have helped people they often didn\u2019t know at all. In doing so, they have shown that solidarity has its place in everyday life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To mark its 5th anniversary, Donio invites you to a birthday talk show evening with Adela Vinczeov\u00e1.<\/strong> At the Old Market Hall, <strong>on 29 October at 6.30 pm, Nick Winton<\/strong> \u2013 the son of Nicholas Winton, who saved 669 children from Czechoslovakia from the Nazis and took them to England \u2013 will be welcomed. Joining him will be <strong>actress Krist\u00edna Tormov\u00e1 and nurse Angelika Hajd\u00e1kov\u00e1,<\/strong> for whose cancer treatment people donated via Donio after her insurance company had refused to cover it.<br \/>\nThe musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by <strong>Katka Ko\u0161\u010dov\u00e1, Mila Medvedovsk\u00e1, Dano \u0160piner and other distinguished guests.<\/strong> The theme of the evening is intended to inspire everyone. <strong>We will be discussing why solidarity is particularly important in difficult times.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Join Donio in celebrating five years of solidarity in Slovakia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The funds raised from ticket sales will be used to organise the event. Choose one of the three options, depending on how you\u2019d like to support Donio.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong>15 euros \u2013 a kind-hearted talk show guest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong>\u20ac20 \u2013 a generous talk show guest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong>\u20ac25 \u2013 a very generous talk show guest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The different ticket categories are purely symbolic. Seating is unreserved.
