Two days in the heart of Bratislava

You will start your first day at the Natural History Museum of the Slovak National Museum, where you will get to know the wealth of animals, plants, and minerals from all over the world. Here you will learn interesting facts about life on Earth and its origin. After visiting the museum, we recommend that you move to the Pálffy Palace. It will enchant you with its unmistakable atmosphere, excellent acoustics, and historical spaces, which are the remains of the Pálffy family’s palace.

Now take a lunch break. Stop by KORZO café & restaurant, where you will experience the hospitality of old Prešpork combined with excellent cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. With the Bratislava Card, you will get a 15% discount.

After lunch, move at a leisurely pace to Primate Square, where a guided tour of the Old Town begins. In addition to historical facts, your guide will provide you with practical tips on how to enjoy your free time in Bratislava.

In the afternoon, stop at Michael’s Gate – the only one of the original four city fortification gates that has been preserved. We recommend enjoying the view from Michael’s Tower, which is one of the most beautiful in the historic center.

Day 2 – history, kings, art

Start your second day at Bratislava Castle, whose Baroque garden was designed for Maria Theresa, considered one of the most important monarchs of Hungary. Stroll among the silver linden trees and Baroque statues, stop by the fountain, and enjoy the atmosphere of this historic site with views of the city and the Danube. With the Bratislava Card, you get free entry to all areas of the Historical Museum of the Slovak National Museum  – including the castle treasury, the Crown Tower, and seasonal exhibitions.

Then move on to St. Martin’s Cathedral, the site of the coronations of eleven Hungarian monarchs and seven royal consorts (until 1830). Admission to the cathedral is free, but with a card, you get access to the crypt, choir, and treasury.

For lunch, stop at Bratislava Flagship Restaurant, one of the largest restaurants in Europe. It offers Slovak and local cuisine and also has its own brewery with a decent lager. Here too, you can save 10% with the card.

In the afternoon, visit the Bratislava City Museum in the Old Town Hall, where you will learn interesting facts about the city’s history. Don’t forget to climb the tower – the view from the Old Town Hall is one of the most beautiful in Bratislava.

After several beautiful views, we now turn to paintings and art. Stop by the Slovak National Gallery, where you will discover not only contemporary art but also art from past centuries.
