Dragons at the chateau
Family fairy tale festival for all who believe in happy endings and fairy-tale creatures
Dragons the size of a child’s palm, but also huge as a bus will take over the fairy-tale Šimák Chateau for one weekend a year. At the children’s festival, however, in addition to dragons, fairies, princesses or pigs come to life.
During the festival, chateau turns into a fairy tale place. Around every corner you will find fancy creations and decorations that so much complete the atmosphere. The fairytale mood at the festival includes not only the main programme in the form of children’s performances, but also decorations, interactive inputs and attractions.
Especially the little ones can look forward to live fairy tales. Theatre Under the Balcony will interpret a puppet theatre, a fairy tale called Strong Max will be performed by the Teáter Komika and performance Circus Hector, full of magical creatures and entities, will also enchant.
The programme is aimed at children’s viewers and together with an interactive program and creative workshops will entertain children of all ages. The festival will again include children’s attractions such as bow shooting or children’s wooden catapult. You can find them on the Dragon Map, which is part of the children’s ticket.
The programme full of fairy tales will start at 9:30 a.m. with Fairy Tale with a Dragon Head, which, of course, will not lack a dragon. An hour later, the Dragon Warrior Recruitment will follow. At 11 a.m., all dragons of various sizes present in the Dragon Show will present themselves. At 11:30 a.m., the fairy tale of Strong Max begins, and at 12:30 p.m., magical creatures and entities will showcase at Circus Hector. At 2:30 p.m., the story of Piglet Piggy will be on the programme, and at 3:30 p.m., a fairy tale called Dragon Kerchoo. Finally, at 4:30 p.m., a unit of dragon warriors will pass through the castle, to which any brave warrior can join.
Traditionally, the festival includes workshops for the production of dragon souvenirs. In previous years, little visitors took home a wooden shield or their own cardboard dragon. This year’s souvenir, which is included in the price of admission as well as attractions and an interactive programme, remains a mystery for the time being, but children will once again produce something from the land of fantasy with the assistance of willing fairies.
Stands with food and sweet treats will be prepared, premium coffee or fruit wines will be available for older visitors. So come and enjoy puppet shows, theater and interactive programme, full of fairy-tale creatures and especially dragons.
