Sporting triumphs of Slovakia
Come to see a selection of historical moments and achievements of Slovak athletes
Moments captured by photojournalists of the News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR) bring a unique emotion from the struggle of representatives of Slovakia at world and domestic forums.
The exhibition project presents a selection of historical moments and achievements of Slovak athletes through TASR photographs and offers a unique opportunity to relive the authentic emotion of the struggle of Slovak representatives in domestic and world forums.
At the exhibition you can see a total of 30 photos of agency photojournalists Martin Baumann, Milan Kapusta, Ivan Majerský, Pavel Neubauer, Radovan Stoklasa and Michal Svitek from the match of representatives of Slovakia for precious metals at the Olympics and other top sporting events.
TASR reporters travel around the world to capture the efforts of Slovak athletes and mediate events to the media and the public. The result of their work is a rich archive, which includes, among others, photographic gems, such as shots of Slovak hockey players, made at the World Championships in 2001 in Cologne or regular photojournalism of Slovak representatives at the Summer and Winter Olympics – since 2002 in Salt Lake City to the present.
The exhibition of TASR photojournalists was prepared by the Slovak National Museum in cooperation with the Press Agency of the Slovak Republic. It is accessible in the residential building of the Slovak National Museum on Vajanský Embankment until 31 January.
