Going strong for 16 years, a music festival that brings together people of different countries, cultures and races. In addition to music, you will find many accompanying events, even for families.
Uprising is a festival where we all get together, forget time, problems and enjoy life here and now. It is said that those who have experienced it once, wait a whole year for the sequel. On the Golden Sands / Zlaté piesky, in the recreational natural area, Bratislava will once again welcome famous names from abroad and from Slovakia.
Bratislava Uprising is proof that even a festival based on minority genres can be included among the most interesting events in Central Europe. It welcomes thousands of supporters and fans of reggae, dancehall, ska, hip-hop, dubstep, drum&bass, Balkan and electro-swing every year.
The festival has become an integral part of summer for Slovakia and neighboring countries. Since its inception in 2008, Uprising has grown into Central Europe’s largest reggae festival. It managed to be included among the Top 40 European festivals!

It’s a lifestyle, and there are varied and interesting accompanying events prepared for visitors. Those of you who are competitive will be able to participate in various sports tournaments. A dance hall workshop will also take place in the area, you will be able to practice energetic capoeira or visit the Healing Area with all-day activities such as yoga, meditation and sound healing.
Another non-musical accompanying program is also prepared, such as discussions, lectures, stand-ups or creative workshops and screenings of short films. Street art exhibitions will please the eye and exotic cuisine will please the stomach. The advantage of Golden Sands is the natural lake, which offers not only boat and pedal boat rentals, but also a wakeboard lift.
The organizers also take into account their youngest fans, so there is also a children’s zone with a special program and activities for parents with children.
