Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1987, Gustavo went on to graduate in Industrial Design at PUC-Rio University. During his very first year practicing in his own Studio, he was invited to exhibit at the Brazilian Art Fair at Miami Art Basel. He lives in Milan where he produces for different companies, such as Critterio. He won the WallPaper magazine 2017 Young Design Award of the year.

Carmela Gross is one of the most prolific and influential Brazilian contemporary artists. She took part in several exhibitions all over the world, including Moscow Biennale, São Paulo Contemporary Art Biennale, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) of New York among many others. She will exhibit an light installation in LAB Kunsthalle, called the Photographer, and a video based on a mythical figure in Brazil called “Luz del Fuego”.

The Brazilian martial art known as “Abadá Capoeira” combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music. It uses a special musical instrument called “berimbau”. Developed in Brazil at the beginning of the 16th century,  capoeira is nowadays very popular worldwide as a coordination sport with its quick and complex maneuvers, predominantly using power, speed, and leverage across a wide variety of kicks, spins and techniques.

Performed by a Slovak group of musicians, CAMPANA BATUCADA shows the african influenced Brazilian percussion style. With its energetic fast pace, the sounds produced by very large special drums called “bateria”. It is a form of heavily percussive and polyrhythmic Samba which mesmerizes any audience.

Professor Dr Daniele Pisani is the foremost specialist on Brazilian contemporary and modernist architecture in the world. He is PhD in History of Architecture at the University IUAV Venice and Professor at Politecnico di Milano. He has published several works on Italian Renaissance, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Lucio Costa, Oscar Niemeyer and Paulo Mendes da Rocha.

The Brazilian singer Lica Cecato and the Italian accoustic guitar and bandolin player Stefano Scutari will perform Brazilian popular songs in the Hviezdoslavovo námestie. They will interpret the best of Brazilian Music: Bossa Nova classics by Tom Jobim, Edu Lobo and Vinicius de Moraes, apart from contemporary pop songs from Caetano Veloso and Adriana Calcanhoto.

The Brazilian classical pianist Pablo Rossi will perform works by Chopin, Villa-Lobos and Prokofiev. Rossi studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Elisso Virsaladze. He won several important prizes and played with several orchestras in the world including the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra of Moscow.
