Deň architektúry: Kamzík

Marek Marcinov and Edita Chocholatá from Towercom will talk about this indispensable part of Bratislava’s skyline and unusual building, which is celebrating 50 years of existence.

The Kamzík Tower, built on the hill of the same name in the Little Carpathians, is visible from most of the city and its silhouette has become a symbol of Bratislava. This 194-meter-high structure, completed in 1975, serves not only as a television tower but also as an observation deck and restaurant. Its unique design, which includes sloping walls and modern architectural elements, sets it apart from other buildings in the city. During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to discover the details of this structure. They will learn more about the history and technical aspects of the tower, the challenges faced by its builders, and how functionality was successfully combined with aesthetic design. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a magnificent view of Bratislava and its surroundings from the observation deck.
