Hovory v Pistori: Zdena Studenková a Shooty
The Old Town Cultural Centres and moderator Michal Hvorecký invite you to the continuation of the discussion series Conversations in Pistorius. The event will take place on 19 February at 18:00 in Pistori Palace. This time the guests will be actress Zdena Studenková and Martin Shooty Šútovec, a prominent cartoonist, social glossator, illustrator and occasional banjo player.
“Both of them are legends of Slovak culture. Not only first-class in their creative professions, but also civically engaged and sensitive to the events in the city and country where they live. It is an honour for us to have them come, because it is a rare opportunity to experience them live,” says Michal Hvorecký, head of the Old Town Cultural Centres.
Zdena Studenka is well known to the audience both from the theatre stages of the Slovak National Theatre and from television screens. This time they can see her in the historic premises of the Pistori Palace. Shooty’s works have been known for decades from newspapers and the online space, the talk is an opportunity to have a more personal conversation and meet the artist. The Conversations in Pistorius discussion series is now celebrating a year since its inception. Every month, Hvorecký welcomes two interesting guests from the field of culture, art or public affairs, with whom he conducts inspiring conversations about their life, profession and view of the world. The programme has recently been enriched by a musical performance by the young Radio_Head Award winner, Vojtík.
The discussions are free and open to the general public. Lovers of culture and interesting talks can enjoy them in one of the five Old Town Cultural Centres.
