Kodaclips
Kodaclips was formed in the second half of 2021 by four friends living in and around Cesena. Each member came from a different artistic background, from psychedelia to stoner and progressive rock, and in Kodaclips these sounds meld together with the vibes of the 90s. Heavily influenced by the second wave of shoegaze, especially the Italogaze scene, Kodaclips likes to experiment with melodic and arranging ideas.
They made their stage debut at the end of 2021 and, after a few local shows, were selected as support for the A Place to Bury Strangers tour in Italy. Kodaclips released their debut album Glances in September 2022 (Overdub Recordings).
In early 2023, their single Not My Sound put them in the spotlight of the international shoegaze scene with a video premiere on Backseat Mafia and heavy rotation on DKFM and Eardrum Buzz. Gone Is the Day is the title of Kodaclips’ sophomore album, released on 6 September 2024 on Sister 9 Records from Manchester, UK. The album was produced by Kodaclips themselves, with mixing and mastering by James Aparicio. The sound is shoegaze with post-punk and psychedelic vibes: deep reverb and harsh distortion, while the vocals hang in hypnotic spirals. A week after the album’s release, Kodaclips played a two-week tour with key shows in London, Leeds, Sheffield, Coventry and Paris.
