The Little Prince
The Bratislava City Gallery invites you to an exhibition of LITTLE PRINCE illustrations by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry from Michael Andreas Wahl’s collection.
The exhibition can be viewed on the third floor of the Mirbach Palace from 3 March to 3 April 2016.
Educational programs for the exhibition:
Beware of Baobabs!
Friday 11.3.2016 at 16:30 (for children from 4 to 6 years of age)
Saturday 12.3.2016 at 15:00 (for children from 7 to 11 years of age)
Although baobabs don’t grow in Slovakia, the warning is also true for us, because The Little Prince is full of hidden meanings. It takes place on different planets, which are also metaphors. On our program we will find out what kind of imagination the unknown universe is developing in us and what is known about it on the other hand. In the visual part we will do everything possible in order for our feet to step on the soil of a new planet.
You can sign up for the program at firstname.lastname@example.org
Programs for schools
“His home planet is barely bigger than a house. He lived on Asteroids 325 to 330. First, therefore, he set himself there to look for some guidance.” We will look at which metaphorical images of the famous book are among the most poetic and think about why. In the creative part we still remain among the stars of the main character and create our own shining planetarium.
Role-playing/Rollenspiele/Giochi di ruolo/Jeux de rôle
Come to us through English, German, Italian or French! You won’t be bored, we’re playing the Little Prince live in a foreign language and at the same time with the original lithograph by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Did you know that it is the fourth most translated book in the world? It’s in over 200 languages. We offer the program for beginners and advanced, but also in the Slovak language for Slovaks.
