Marek Štuller – Time Overripe
The solo exhibition of the artist Marek Štuller, entitled Time Overripe, presents his longer-term direction within his free practice. The exhibition will present recent realisations supported by the scholarship, as well as a selection of work from recent years in the form of sculptures, objects, installations and interactive works.
There is an implicit assumption in the current political discourse that the time for radical solutions has not yet arrived. The time is not ripe, overripe and rotten at the same moment, as it is always at the same time already too late for conformist thinking.
Is it possible to think of time as a function of the change that lies in a radical political decision?
Marek Štuller is a contemporary sculptor whose work deals with emancipatory political themes within the medium of sculpture in public space. He currently runs an outdoor gallery space, The Monolith, which focuses on exhibiting young committed artists and communicating contemporary socio-political issues.
