Sunday Matinees in Mirbach Palace

The unique saxophone quartet Saxophone Syncopators consists of three gentlemen and one lady performing in Slovakia for the first time. They differ from their contemporaries not only in the repertoire they play, but also the musical instruments themselves.

You can hear unique pieces of classical music in their rendering for the first time in Slovakia, composed for this interesting musical group but also joyful rags in original arrangements from the years 1910-1923.

The Saxophone Syncopators will play a classical music concert at the regular Sunday Matinee consisting of works by the romantic composers of the 19th century. Many of the compositions will be performed as Slovak premieres.

Program:

Jean-Baptiste Singelée: Premier Quartor op.53
Claude Pascal: Quartor de Saxophones
Pierre Max Dubois: Variations pour quartor de Saxophones
