Prázdninový Utorok v ZOO – Korisť versus predátor

ZOO Bratislava has prepared non-traditional activities for children from 8 to 12 years of age for spring holidays – Holiday lunches at the ZOO. The programme is varied, full of animals and interesting facts from the world of the animal kingdom.

The participation fee includes a one-time admission to the zoo and an educational programme led by an experienced lecturer.

Important information about the course of the educational programme:

The meeting with the participants is at 09:00 in front of the entrance to the zoo, where the children will be picked up by the lecturer. Children can be picked up after the program, at 12:00, before entering the zoo. The educational program takes place on the zoo grounds with facilities in the zoo club. It is recommended that children bring warm, waterproof clothing and footwear, a change of clothes and a snack.

Program: prey versus predator

The lecturer will talk to the children about the hard life of prey and how they have to adapt to predator hunting tactics. Children will learn that even predators don’t have it easy in the wild. They will also learn about different types of food chains and the balance in nature. In case of good weather, they will go to see the felines and owls that are kept in the zoo and the lecturer will tell the children interesting facts about the life of these predators.
