About the event
The September concert will be packed with the most famous melodies from films such as Schindler’s List, or from classical music – Flight of the Bumblebee, Libertango, Hungarian Dance, Monti’s Czardas and Klezmer melodies to the modern song Čistý svet, which was composed for Ráchel by the world-famous Miro Žbirka.
Ráchel Skleničková, a blind pianist, composer and singer based in Prague, is recognized not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also abroad. She met Šofranková while studying at the HAMU in Prague.
Terézia Šofranková comes from Košice and is one of the best violinists of her generation. At the age of 13, she made her debut as a soloist with the Žilina State Chamber Orchestra, the Košice State Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Musica Iuvenalis Orchestra under the leadership of renowned conductors.
