The Heritage of Charlemagne

The exhibition focuses on the early-medieval times as one of the most important era of the creation of current European cultural identity. It strives to apply the concept of “united in diversity” which is the motto of the European Union since 2000. Through the presentation of early-medieval Europe the exhibition tries to put Central Europe into a broader context and try to open a discussion about the nationalized stereotypical interpretation of (not only) the Slovak early-medieval history.
