The Light Within: Marlia Coeur

Inspirational concert of Marlia Coeur will take place on September 25, in Klarisky, as part of her European music tour 2024 sharing songs, prayers, and captivating melodies playing guitar and handpan. The event will also include a vocal activation workshop.

The concert is about creating moments, weaving stories, and touching one’s heart. Whether she’s strumming her guitar, playing a handpan melody or singing a melody, she pours every ounce of herself into every note, hoping to leave a lasting impression on whoever’s listening – inviting them to do the same.

Vocal activation workshop:

Rising Voice is a circle singing workshop; a group musical play where the voice is used as an instrument, inspired by the ancient Indian alchemy of raga, the African heritage of song, traditional Balkan roots and melodious Middle Eastern soul sounds.

Marlia and her team work with vocal experiments and sound production, improvisation and expression through spontaneous interaction in an atmosphere of absolute acceptance and encouragement to open the primal sound within the listeners.

They use the vibrations of the sounds of their voices for relaxation, release, transformation and self-improvement on the personal journey.

The workshop will include:

• Cultivating voice training
• Practising breathing techniques
• Amplification of the natural sounds that arise in the body
• Resonating in the resonance chambers
• Learning how to use energy
• Dissolving limitations and limiting thoughts

The workshop will be in English with translation into Slovak.
