Tolstoys (album release)

On October 16, the cult Bratislava venue DK Zrkadlový háj will host a concert by the band Tolstoys, where they will launch their new album The Buzz.

Their live show is sincere yet mysterious, wild yet vulnerable, full of human warmth, sexy rhythms, old magic, and new joy. “The spirit of Hendrix plays the fujara and Perinbaba sings the blues.”

The evening will be opened by their close friend from Senegal, Alibeta.

Since winning the Debut of the Year category at the 2017 RHA, Tolstoys have played more than 250 live shows. Their frontwoman Ela Tolstová was selected for Forbes 30 under 30 and after the release of their second album Mirror Me, which was nominated for Album of the Year 2022, they appeared on the largest billboard in Times Square in New York.

In 2024, they toured Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, and for the first time, the United Kingdom, where they performed at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival.
