About the Event
Every September, the historic city of Trnava comes alive with the Traditional Trnava Fair â one of the largest events of its kind in Slovakia. From 11 to 14 September 2025, the streets will be filled with crafts, food, music, and colourful entertainment.
For four days you can enjoy open-air concerts, medieval shows under the town walls, a rich craft market, folk music and dance, fairground rides, and a special family programme in the cityâs parks.
Concerts on TrojiÄka Square đś
The main stage on TrojiÄnĂŠ Square will host Slovak pop, rock, and folk stars:

The fair also includes a folk music stage on SNP Square with cimbalom bands, traditional ensembles, and gypsy swing music.
Medieval Life under the Town Walls âď¸
In Anton BernolĂĄk Park, medieval life comes alive with knights, fencers, and musicians. Try archery, a family catapult, historical dances, or visit a farmersâ yard.
On Saturday evening donât miss the historical reenactment of the meeting of two medieval kings â John of Luxembourg and Charles Robert of Anjou in 1327. The event continues with a torchlight procession and a trebuchet shot from the town walls.
Family & Childrenâs Zones đ¨âđŠâđ§
Families will love the Fairy-tale World in Rose Park, a safe green space with shady trees, fountains, hammocks, pillows, and a cosy baby corner with changing tables and breastfeeding space. Children can meet fairy-tale characters, elves, princesses, or DeduĹĄko VeÄernĂÄek â the Slovak âMr. Sandmanâ.
A new feature is the Creative Market in the Creative Centre of Trnava â a quiet zone with deckchairs and board games to relax away from the busy fairground.
Star Concerts in the Amphitheatre đ
On 12 September at 18:30, the open-air amphitheatre will host Richard MĂźller & Korben Dallas. Tickets are available at MaxiTicket or at the Tourist Information Centre â Trnava Region.
Climb the Town Tower at Night đ
During the fair, the Town Tower will be open late â until 23:00 on Friday and Saturday, and until 21:00 on Sunday. From the top you can enjoy a magical view of the illuminated city, concerts, and fairground rides.
Crafts and Local Tastes đď¸
The pedestrian zone turns into a colourful craft market with baskets, wooden boards, bells, wool slippers, jewellery, wallets, and handmade decorations. You can also buy local delicacies â honey, oils, nuts, homemade noodles and preserves.
And of course â fairground rides, cotton candy, and traditional Slovak snacks. All stalls accept card and mobile payments.
