The inconspicuous building within walking distance from the central train station is a sanctuary of hard-rock, punk and all sorts of metal, plus occasional series of popular electro parties such as “Special Place” or “UKF DubStep”.
The venue comes to life especially in winter months, when all summer terraces shut down and party people gravitate towards warmer spaces. Forget fancy décor or even chairs for that matter; this place is designed for standing only (or dancing only, if that’s more your thing).
Staff is quick and efficient, but be ready to pay small deposit even on plastic cups. Shall your soul long for real rock, metal beats, punk-rock, guitar solos or big beat – the MMC is your place. Check the website for line-up, as the venue is not in operation every day and opens its doors for events only. You will find the cool chill-out bar Hopkirk and an alternative music club Randal in the very same building.
