Experience the magic of Christmas: the program of the Bratislava Chirstmas Markets 2025

Bratislava Christmas markets offer a rich program full of concerts, performances and a festive atmosphere in the heart of the capital.

Bratislava’s Christmas Markets will once again bring a vibrant mix of music, traditions, and festive joy. The grand opening takes place on November 28, 2025, at 18:00, on Hlavné Square and Hviezdoslavov Square. From that moment, the city will shine with Christmas lights, and the Advent season will begin.

What Can You Look Forward To?

At Františkánske Square, visitors can enjoy concerts and performances every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These events will fill the city center with energy and good vibes. Highlights include concerts by the Gypsy Devils (January 3, 2026) and Katka Koščová (January 6, 2026).

Meanwhile, Hviezdoslav Square will host a rich cultural program featuring bands such as Puding pani Elvisovej and Orchester Jean Valjean. Evening sets with DJs will keep the festive spirit alive until late. During December, children’s choirs will also perform, adding warmth and charm to the holiday atmosphere.

St. Nicholas Festivities and End-of-Year Run

The traditional St. Nicholas Lantern Parade will light up Janko Kráľ Park on December 5, 2025, at 16:15. Across the city, families can also enjoy St. Nicholas events designed for both children and adults.

To close the festive season, Bratislava will celebrate with the New Year’s Eve Run Across Bratislava Bridges 2025. This popular event brings together runners and fans of an active lifestyle every year.

Fun, Flavors, and New Experiences

The markets will also offer stalls with traditional crafts, local delicacies, and warm punch. On the Main Square, the ÚĽUV masters will showcase handmade creations. Both squares will also feature non-profit organizations with charity stalls and creative gifts.

The main attractions are the two large Christmas trees – a 12-meter Norway spruce on Hviezdoslav Square and an 11-meter Caucasian fir on the Main Square. Most of the program is free of charge, with only a few exceptions, such as the New Year’s Eve run.

Admission is free for most of the program, with a few exceptions (e.g., the New Year’s Eve run).

Throughout Advent, Bratislava will transform into a fairy-tale city full of lights, music, and good mood – an ideal place for pre-Christmas gatherings with family and friends.
