Bratislava hosted the CEE Fundraising Conference between 11 and 13 October 2023. The conference fostered networking and training opportunities for fundraisers, consultants, fundraising suppliers, Board members and CEOs of NGOs, semi-public and other private institutions.
The meeting conveyed inspirational ideas for fundraising by experienced experts from Central and Eastern Europe and markets beyond. The CEE Fundraising Conference was organised by the CEEFC Program Panel. The Panel consists of a group of volunteers who each bring a different area of fundraising expertise. The Panel members are:
– Jolan van Herwaarden (The Netherlands)
– Jan Kroupa (Czechia)
– Eduard Marček (Slovakia)
– Andrzej Pietrucha (Poland)
The event focused on digital fundraising, how to start a legacy program, telemarketing and the role of fundraising in the AI era. Attendees could participate in several masterclasses on the first day. They were led by experts in the field, including Colin Habberton, Michael Johnston, Ligia Peña, Tony Myers, Konstantina Papadimitriou and Jan Kroupa.
The event took place in AC Hotel Bratislava Old Town. The cosmopolitan hotel exudes an urban vibe and boasts a perfect location directly in the historical centre. The conference included parallel masterclasses by world-renowned experts in multiple sessions. In 2023, the Masterclass program included three sessions for 90 min, with renowned names such as Colin Habberton, Michael Johnston, Tony Myers, Konstantina Papadimitriou, Jan Kroupa and Ligia Peña.
One of the participants of last year’s conference commented: “I’m overwhelmed by the diversity of the participants, by the workshops. I was deeply impressed,” said Manes Kerschbaumer, little talks Fundraising (AT).
