The most prestigious equestrian event in Slovakia, the Danube Equestrian Festival, will return to Bratislava in spectacular fashion. This year, the competition will take place on the pitch of the National Football Stadium in Bratislava. The event will take place between 8 and 11 June 2023.

After a successful pilot episode on the Danube embankment last year, the Danube Equestrian Festival project will change its target location. But it will not take away from the uniqueness of the competition.

In the second week of June, the National Football Stadium will be transformed into a spectacular equestrian arena that has no match in the world. The competition will take place right on the pitch of the football stadium, which will be replaced by a sand surface.

A unique venue for equestrianism – The National Football Stadium Bratislava

Tehelne Pole Stadium is one of the most modern and technologically advanced stadiums in Central Europe. The venue was built in 2019, and due to its architectural uniqueness, it became the choice of numerous international event organisers. As well as being the most modern football stadium in Slovakia, it is also sustainable and environment-friendly. Almost 50% of the heating system for the stadium and its green pitch comes from renewable sources. The venue has proven to be highly versatile, not least by hosting such events, which transform the green pitch into an equestrian course.

The organisers wish to continue the long tradition of organising prestigious equestrian events in the capital in the coming years and evolve it to a higher level.
