Urban Market is a unique, cultural and social event that combines a lively design market of contemporary artistic and creative work, a presentation of local author’s professional fashion, design and art, as well as a varied accompanying program, creative activities and creative people from various art disciplines concentrated in one place.

They have been talking since time immemorial – they serve as a means of transmitting knowledge and traditions, they form the basis of human knowledge. While inside the Jurkovičová Teplarna you can discover and buy local author’s design, in the surrounding green area of SKY PARK you can look forward to food trucks offering street food from all over the world. Both exotic and local – everyone can choose from the menu.
Worth visit also for the architecture
Jurkovičova Tepláreň is a functionalist building that was originally designed by the architect and founder of modern architecture in Slovakia – Dušan Jurkovič. The building was built in the then industrial part of Bratislava in the area of former the Apollo Refinery.
In the interior of the current reconstruction, the architects used the free space by inserting a new structure into it without contact, thanks to which new surfaces and floors were created. It could be said that, similar to the inverted pyramid of the Slovak Radio, a building within a building.
