Financial literacy in the arts: Developing the financial skills of young artists

The event is intended for students of art schools (secondary and higher education), young artists, and creative people who want to make a living from art, not just survive. They will learn how to set prices, budget, obtain grants, and manage taxes.

Design students, young artists, and creatives will learn the following at the workshop:

  • How to manage personal finances even in creative chaos.

  • How to write a grant application, approach a sponsor, and set a project budget.

  • Practical tips from professionals with real-world experience.

  • How to avoid the most common mistakes when starting an artistic career.

Lecturers and guests: Pavel Škriniar, Zuzana Pastirčák Duchová, Lenka Polomská Rišková

Organized by the School of Design. Part of the Financial Literacy in the Arts project, which helps young people acquire skills that are often lacking in schools but will be essential in life. Support: Capital City of the Slovak Republic Bratislava.
