Middle Ages in the Park
Come and enjoy the atmosphere of the Middle Ages in Janko Kráľ Park on June 15th!
The second annual event Middle Ages in the Orchard taking place in Janko Kráľ Park will showcase a period camp and crafts, fencing performances, a children’s arena, dance and musical performances. The historical camp will open its gates to visitors of the Janko Kráľ Orchard as early as 9:00 AM. The event will kick off with performances of individual fencing groups. Visitors can also touch and feel the real weight of armor and swords.
Craftsmen will make their products (from iron, wood, leather and glass) on site. The mighty tournament of swordsmen on foot starts at 11:00 AM. After that, some of the fencing groups will introduce themselves with their performances. There will also be a club tournament, an archery tournament as well as a children’s arena. The highlight of the program is the medieval field battle, which will be attended by more than 120 fighters from 25 groups. The event will also bring the dance performance of the dance group Tón, the medieval rugby tournament (Choule) and the musical performance by Strigôň.
