CityMakers: Ako presadzovať zmenu

Why does every cycle route turn into a culture war? Must every change in the city have its winners and losers?

At the CityMakers dinner, organised in the PechaKucha style, we’ll hear from people who are transforming cities and breaking down the fears and prejudices associated with such change. Through a series of short talks and open discussion, they’ll show how advocacy, education and persuasive communication can turn conflict into a shared goal – and how architecture centres, city architects, strategic urban institutions and non-governmental organisations can help both experts and the public embrace greener, healthier and higher-quality cities of the future.

• Štěpán Bärtl — Director, CAMP Prague (Centre for Architecture and Urban Planning).
• Petra Marko — Director of MIB (Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava); founder of TU-BA – Centre for Architecture and Urban Planning.

The event is aimed at architects, city representatives, developers, activists, communicators, experts in public participation and the engaged public who are helping to shape the future of cities – particularly those who need to explain their proposals, drive change, engage people and create space for dialogue on shared visions.
