Festival Mach 2026
Mach is the first festival of contemporary performance. It focuses on artistic approaches to working with the body, imagery, and situation. The festival brings together emerging and established artists while serving as a living tribute to the artist Kata Mach (1986–2018). It builds on the themes the artist explored in her work: feminism, a critique of neoliberalism, humor, awkwardness, courage, and the intersection of the political and the poetic.
The current, second edition of the festival is centered on the theme of Myth. Here, myth does not appear as a distant story of the past, but as a living principle that shapes our ideas, memory, and identity. In the performances, it transforms into a voice, a gesture, an image, or a ritual—it can be revived, disrupted, or recreated.
The festival presents a series of performances that reinterpret familiar archetypes, work with personal and collective narratives, and explore how myths transform in the contemporary world. The full-length program will consist of five separate performances. Performers: Izbová Teplota Collective, Michal Dore, VŠVU Intermedia Studio, Kasha Potrohosh, Zoya Shoajee Sardashti
