Leaving to Remain

The screening of the film „Leaving to Remain“ will take place on December 5 at 8:00 p.m. in Bratislava’s A4.

Leaving to Remain / Mira Erdevicki / Slovakia, United Kingdom, Czech Republic 2022 / 90 min. – The film has three protagonists: Ondrej Olah, Denisa Ganon and Petr Toták. They represent the generation of Roma children who immigrated to the UK in the 1990s and at the beginning of the new millennium. In England, they were given opportunities that were denied to them in their native country, Slovakia or the Czech Republic, and thanks to this they are today educated and self-confident Europeans. However, Brexit and the global pandemic affected their lives. The viewer watches the consequences very closely, through the eyes of the film’s protagonists themselves.
