Medzinárodná konferencia Otvorená Kultúra! 2026

The international conference „Open Culture!“ builds on the first edition held in 2025, which, as the first professional conference on cultural policy in Slovakia organized by civil society, opened a discussion led by the cultural community itself and contributed to the emergence of initiatives in the field of artistic freedom at the European level.

The second edition, taking place May 19–20, 2026, brings together artists, cultural managers, policymakers, and experts from across Europe to address issues of artistic freedom, cultural governance, and the role of culture in society. The program also addresses interventions in the functioning of cultural institutions, arts funding, and legislative restrictions. The first day focuses on the Slovak context, while the second offers a European perspective.
