Poppe x Feldman
On December 13, two works of contemporary music will meet at Bratislava’s A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture: Rundfunk by German composer Enno Poppe and the hypnotic Crippled Symmetry by American visionary Morton Feldman.
The full-length concert will be performed by EnsembleSpectrum. Visitors can expect thousands of sound particles, slow tonal transformations, and a space in which music becomes a breathtaking experience. Enno Poppe’s Rundfunk, performed by EnsembleSpectrum under the baton of Estonian conductor Talvi Hunt, will receive its Slovak premiere.
EnsembleSpectrum is one of the most active domestic ensembles specializing in chamber music of the 20th and 21st centuries. Under the artistic direction of Matej Sloboda, the ensemble has performed over 150 works in its twelve years of activity, premiered more than 60 compositions, and regularly collaborates with major festivals at home and abroad. It has released several albums under the UBU Collection label, many of which have been nominated for Radio_Head Awards.
