Zabiť Františka (SK) + Sofi Khedekel (UA)

An acoustic double concert featuring Slovak and Ukrainian singer-songwriters in the unusual setting of a sports hall.

Zabiť Františka – an inventive combination of intellectually mature lyrics in the form of melancholic collages and an instantly recognisable, captivating vocal style makes him one of the most distinctive figures in contemporary Czech-Slovak singer-songwriting. He describes his own music as ‘alt-folk’, thereby consciously signalling a shift away from the established genre tropes of folk towards alternative music. He has two studio albums to his name and is currently working on a third. His second album, simply titled II, won the Radio_head Awards in the Folk Music category in 2025.

Sofi Khedekel is an independent musician from Kharkiv, Ukraine. She has been making music for a long time, mostly for herself, as a personal diary. She writes and sings in Ukrainian, performs at local events in Kharkiv and records her songs at home, mostly on her own. She does not wish to be associated with any specific genre, but what she listens to naturally influences her. This includes shoegaze, dream pop, underground and lo-fi aesthetics.
