Open wine cellars (Deň otvorených pivníc®) 2016
Around 8000 wine enthusiasts, arriving by car and bus, warmed up and ready to sample the local wines, are going to be picnicking along Little Carpathian Wine Route. The 17th edition of the “Open wine cellars”, which traditionally takes place at the end of November, draws those who love wine the way sweet grapes attract starlings. Because the event lasts two days, from Friday to Saturday, it’s a good idea to arrange accommodation in advance and to enjoy both days the wines of the Little Carpathians. You certainly won’t be lacking for good wine on the second day when more than 150 vintners from Bratislava to Trnava will be opening their cellars.
Tickets go on sale starting September 19, 2016. Admission: €50, includes purchase of wine up to €25.
