City Sounds: Ghost-Note

On the evening of June 2, Bratislava is in for a concert experience that will push the boundaries.

The American band Ghost-Note, an exceptional rhythm supergroup from Dallas, transforms its concerts into a pulsating organism built on groove, virtuosity, and unbridled energy. Ghost-Note is built on the solid foundation of two prominent figures in the contemporary music scene—drummer Robert “Sput” Searight and percussionist Nate Werth, members of the acclaimed band Snarky Puppy. Both are multiple Grammy Award winners and rank among the most respected rhythm players of their generation.

Since 2012, the City Sounds festival has been bringing world-class concerts in jazz and related genres such as soul, blues, funk, and world music to Slovak audiences, as well as performances of classical and contemporary music and fusions of these genres.
