Exhibition: Gérard Rancinan – Artists’ Portraits
Gérard Rancinan is a well-renowned French modern artist and photographer. His photographs form a part of important modern art collections and are exhibited in the most prestigious museums worldwide. As an attentive witness to his time and his contemporaries, Rancinan watches the world, contemplates about it and joins the uncompromising criticism of various moods of “modern people”.
Using his photography, which connects the form with importance in a very volatile manner, Rancinan attempts to capture the society’s dilemmas in all of its deviations and contradictions. His “Free-Thinker” is certainly the only title to which he lays claim and to which he dedicated his life and creation. He is famous for relevancy of his work and for monumental dimensions of his photography.
