Slovak Dance Platform

Rich program is prepared for an audience consisting mainly of foreign promoters and domestic experts, but also for the public:

On the very first day of the event, on Thursday 1 June, the dance performance The Urge by the young Slovak collective Tanečno and the Turkish choreographer working in Germany, Ceren Oran, will take place in a public space on Námestie Nežnej revolucie in front of Stara Tržnica in Bratislava. The performance responds to the period of isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic and is deliberately situated in a place of close contact with random passers-by. Entry is free.

Another performance that is part of the accompanying program is Sapiens Territory by choreographer Yuri Korec. It will be performed on Saturday evening in Nová Cvernovka park as part of the BRaK festival.

For contemporary dance enthusiasts, the Friday group trip from Bratislava to the program in Banská Bystrica can be an interesting part of the program. The Slovak Dance Platform provides a bus that leaves at 4:00 p.m. in front of the A4 on Karpatská Street. A special ticket can be purchased for the bus and both Banská Bystrica shows. The trip will also include an audio guide presented by Maja Hriešik and choreographer Jara Viňarský, refreshments at the Studio Dance Theater and a trip back to Bratislava after the program.
